Neurographic art is a simple drawing technique — a type of doodling with guidelines. It uses circles and rounded forms connected by lines to create interesting shapes. This simple method of drawing will be demonstrated with paper and coloured markers. It’s a great way for students to learn these principals so they can create an original design quickly and then draw it on to their monk’s cloth. Rug hooking is like painting with wool and Oxford punches make it fun and easy. Students will make a 12”
by 12” piece that would be perfect for turning into a trivet, chair pad, or pillow. By doing this you will learn to use the Oxford Punch Needle, how to stretch monk’s cloth on a frame or in a hoop, and all the basics that ensure a successful project including finishing. You probably won’t finish your piece in the time allotted so each student will be sent home with written instructions. A rich palette of 100% wool rug yarns will be used to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece!
Kit#1 - $95 - you will receive an Oxford Punch Needle #10 regular, 20" x 20" monk's cloth serged, rug yarn (about 14oz)
Kit#2-$50 - 20" x 20" monk's cloth serged, rug yarn (about 14oz)
