This scholarship is open to anyone over the age of 18, who is persueing education in the fibre arts sector. You may be interested in a textile course, or attending a session at the Haliburton School of Arts, The Fibre Week in Alberta or an Ontario Hand spinning Home study course. We are a registered charity that will issue a charity receipt for your donations.
This scholarship is open to anyone over the age of 18, who is persueing education in the fibre arts sector. You may be interested in a textile course, or attending a session at the Haliburton School of Arts, The Fibre Week in Alberta or an Ontario Hand spinning Home study course.
We will be accepting requests for funding from January 1st to December 31. At this time the board of directors of the charity will meet twice per year - May and November, to review all the applicants. A total of 90 percent of the donations will be distributed of the donations collected from the current year.
The Woolstock Scholarship is being operated through the Elliott House Charity. This is a registered Charity with CRA. If you wish to make a donation, a charity receipt will be issued to you.
We feel that the fibre arts and textile industry needs to be promoted and encouraged to all ages wanting to study this form of art, eco-fashion and sustainable resources.
Your support and contributions will enable us to educate applicants wishing to expand their knowledge in the fibre art/textile industry.
